Here's how it went:
First 15 minutes---> Intense! We moved nonstop doing all types of squats, lunges, ab work, planks, pushups, foot fires, jumping jacks, high knees, butt kicks etc.... I was already sweating after the first 15 minutes.
Next few minutes---> Deep stretching to get ready for boxing
Next 30 minutes---> Kickboxing! This was literally so fun. We did 5 rounds of 3 minutes of different moves like jabs, hooks, kicks, etc. It felt so good to just take out all my anger and frustration on the bag. The instructor threw in some burpees in between moves to make it even harder and I loved it!! :)
Last 15 minutes---> Partner work where you boxed with someone and had to duck, jab, hook, etc. It was fun to go one on one with others! We also ended with wall sits and tricep dips... WOOO.
Finishing---> We finished off with some nice stretching and called it a day!
For just an hour, I could not believe the workout I got in... I felt so good and was so happy! I miss running, but doing this will keep my fitness up and prepare to get back into running whenever that may be!
Seriously, go try kickboxing, you will NOT regret it!! When filling out my official membership card (I got a membership :) !!!) my hands were shaking and I could barely write! OMG
I cannot wait to go on Thursday for another class!!
Now, off to take the dog for a nice walk :)
