Hey everyone! Happy Tuesday! Today I decided to test out my leg on a 3 mile treadmill run. I went nice and slow, and as of right now, my leg still feels fine! I am hoping it was just a scare and not an actual stress fracture coming on! I also went on the elliptical for 3 miles, walked 3 miles with my dog, and walked another 1.5 miles with my sister and her dog. And since I'm not feeling any soreness, I am keeping my fingers crossed that I'm ok!
On another note....
Many people do not know that I have tattoos. I have 8 tattoos and that shocks people because I am a pretty quiet, reserved person. I got my tattoo at age 18 (birthday present from the parents) and immediately became addicted! It's true what they say, tattoos are an addiction! Now, 3 years later and 8 tattoos later, I am ready for more! Haha
I figured I could do a "Tattoo Tuesday" segment where I post a tattoo each week and explain it, when I got it, and anything else I feel like sharing!
Without further adieu,
I will start my with first tattoo ever!

What is it? Dolphin
When did I get it? April of 2013, my senior year of high school
Where did I get it? Tiki Tattoo in Mansfield, now in Millis, MA
Who did it? Kerwin at Tiki Tattoo, who now owns NuInk in Seekonk, MA
Why did I get it? If you know me, you know I LOVE animals, especially dolphins! Ever since the first time I saw a dolphin at the age of 6/7 on my first visit to Florida, I was instantly fascinated by them. They are so intelligent, kind, beautiful, and magnificent. They are very family oriented and do anything to help others. They are strong.
What is the meaning of the dolphin? Playfulness, transcendence, gentleness, harmony, contentment, friendship, community, resurrection, generosity, power.
Why did I choose color? Color is fun and really makes the tattoo pop. It is bright and happy and catches the eye!
Story relating to this tattoo: After I got it and showed my dad, he looked at and goes "eh, that's huge!" You can imagine how upset and horrified I was. I just got this permanent thing on my body and all my dad could say was, "that's huge!" Well, I got over that quickly and absolutely adore it!
Do I regret it? Absolutely NOT! I do not regret any of my tattoos and when I get them I think about it for a while and do not just do it!
Did it hurt? Number 1 question asked... I do not think it hurts per say, it is just an uncomfortable feeling. The bigger, the more uncomfortable. Also, it depends where you get your tattoo. Obviously some places hurt more than others!
I hope you enjoyed my first edition of "Tattoo Tuesday" and I'll see you back here for another edition next week!!
With love, animals, and running
