This week beat me up! I honestly thought that not running would be boring and I wouldn't find an exercise/workout to keep me in shape, but boy was I wrong! I am TIRED after this week of working out!
Friday 7/24:
5:30 AM Spin Class
Long walk with Speckles
Saturday 7/25:
18.6 mile bike ride---> 12 miles to the house I'm cat sitting at to feed cat, 6.6 miles homes!
Long walk with Speckles
Sunday 7/26:
4 mile run with Speckles
Long walk with Speckles
Monday 7/27:
Gym for full body strength workout
25 minutes on the elliptical
Tuesday 7/28:
1 hour kickboxing class (OUCH)
Long walk with Speckles
Wednesday 7/29:
Spin class cancelled :(
15 minute lifting circuit with dumbbells
40 minutes (5 miles) on the elliptical
Long walk with Speckles
Thursday 7/30:
1 hour at gym with quick lifting circuit, 25 minutes on elliptical, 15 minutes walking
1 hour kickboxing class
Long walk with Speckles
Friday 7/1:
REST (much needed)
Long walk with Speckles though, gotta exercise the dog!
So, only 1 short run that did not feel great on my leg so I opted to take the next couple weeks off completely from running to avoid a severe injury! I have actually been enjoying myself and feel stronger after just 2 kickboxing classes and all the strength work I've been doing. I have also been doing lots of cardio to maintain my running base so I am not worried about getting back into running! Sure, it will be hard, but what isn't??
