Todays post is all about food, my favorite!! I love seeing what other people eat in a day, so I figured I'd show others what I eat with my daily schedule thrown in there to give you an idea of a day in the life during summer break from college :)
I woke up at 5 AM, laid in bed for 20 minutes, and headed out for a run at 5:30 with my dog. Since it's taper week, we did only 5 miles.
BREAKFAST: For breakfast I had 1.5 whole wheat light English Muffins with peanut butter and banana coins, and a bowl of brown sugar cinnamon oatmeal. This is the best combo!

After breakfast, my mom and I drove my car to the garage to get an oil change. I was 200 miles overdue and needed to get it done!
I came home and logged on to my school website to take a look at my summer school work. This is my first time taking a summer class and I am not looking forward to it but I am happy I don't have to take it during the semester when I am bogged down with 6 internships :/
I then caught up on my shows. It was the season finale for Chicago Fire and Chicago Med and I am sad because it doesn't come back until the fall! Darn :(
I then had lunch around 11:30 (I get hungry early). Lunch was a salad with lettuce, baby kale, chopped grapes, snap peas, tomatoes, and roasted chicken. I topped it with feta and some balsamic vinaigrette. I also had a handful of melba whole wheat crackers to add a crunch!
After lunch my mom and I headed to pick up my car, and then I went over to my sisters place to walk her chihuahua. She was working and my other sister was sleeping because she is a nurse and works night shifts so she sleeps all day. The dog loves her walks and I feel bad when she is alone, so I take her out!
I then came home and was getting hungry again, so I had a vanilla siggis yogurt with Purely Elizabeth Pumpkin Fig granola and a big helping of juicy, cold watermelon!
After that, I had to walk a dog. His name is Riley and he is a Border Collie. They live right next to the park so I walk him for an hour in the park. I bring my dog along because they get along really well and then I don't have to worry about walking her when I get home and I'm tired and hungry!
I got home around 4 from walking the dog and my mom had made me dinner. She made me a big tuna steak, roasted sweet potatoes and asparagus, and corn on the cob. It was sooooo delicious!
After dinner, I did some reading on my Kindle. I am almost finished with my second book in 1 week! I love the summer because I actually have time to read! I also got my clothes ready for my run the next morning.
I then got hungry again and decided to have a snack. I had 2 Quaker unsalted rice cakes with peanut butter and fluff and an apple on the side. This snack isn't overly heavy but fills be enough to sleep at night!
This is what a typical day consists of for. 3 meals and 2 snacks! I hope you enjoyed this post and I will continue to do this weekly if people are interested :)
Happy Thursday. It's almost the weekend!!
