The best way to workout is to try new things and have fun!! I have been the QUEEN of trying new things lately (kickboxing, spinning, biking, etc.) and I can say that working out has been a lot more fun lately! Switching it up is key!
Yesterday, I knew I was going to kickboxing at 9 AM and I get up early so I wanted to to a quick workout to kill some time before the class. I headed up to my local high schools track and did a fun 25 minute bleacher workout!
Here's how it went:
1. Start with 2 sets of bleachers (each row has 13 steps and there are about 12 rows) as fast as possible
2. Run up a row, do 10 squats at the top, and do lunges all the way over to the next row, jog down the row, run to the next, sprint up, and repeat until you reach the end of the bleachers.
3. Run up a row leading with the left, run up the next leading with the right, repeat until you each the end
4. Repeat the sprint, squat, lunge combo until you reach the end
5. Do 2 more sets of bleachers as fast as possible!
This all took about 25 minutes, burned 228 calories, and left my legs burning! It is good for cardio, strength, and it's a good fat burner!
Also on the + side----> My leg did not hurt at all after doing this, and there was some running involved, so I am HAPPY! I am still not ready to get back into running full force yet, but to know my leg is healing and doing well is a great feeling :)
